Get started
Get started.
Three steps.
1. Check you have
- An Apple Silicon Mac
- Codex
0.163.x(codex --version) - Node 24.18 or a later 24.x, and Python 3.12 or newer
2. Install
$ curl --proto '=https' --tlsv1.2 -fsSL https://github.com/dzkchen/oh-my-diff/releases/latest/download/install.sh | shPick a profile when it asks:
- OMD+ (
--profile full): OMD plus the mod collection. - OMD Core (
--profile platform): OMD, the mod manager and updates.
Your Codex settings, sign-in and sessions aren’t touched. Compare profiles →
3. Run it
codexThen type /mods to see what’s on. Still plain Codex? Run hash -r or open a new terminal. If that doesn’t help, add the export PATH=… line the installer printed to your shell profile.
Everyday commands
/mods | Turn mods on or off, change settings, install new ones |
omd update | Install the newest release |
omd update rollback | Undo the last update |
omd install npm:@author/mod | Install a mod from npm (also Git or a folder) |
omd mods enable ID | Turn an installed mod on |
omd mods disable ID | Turn a mod off from any shell, even if codex won’t start |
Installing a mod never turns it on, and each step shows what the mod can do before asking. Uninstalling restores plain Codex.
